CAS Iberia / Hanwei Tactical Tanto

The CAS Iberia Tactical Tanto, produced by Paul Chen Hanwei, is an exceptional fighting knife. The knife is based on the Raptor Series Tanto and features a blade of 5160 through hardened spring steel.

Here’s what CAS Iberia has to say about the Tactical Tanto:

Our all new Tactical Tanto isn’t just a logical extension to our popular Tactical Wakizashiand Tactical Katana it’s an updated interpretation of the Samurai fighting knife. A classic blade style with modern construction, it doesn’t get any better than this!

Based on the blade geometry and superb cutting ability of the Paul Chen Raptor series tantobut with full tang construction for ultimate blade strength. The 5160 high-carbon spring steel blade is plasma coated for corrosion protection and the checkered Kraton handle provides a sure foul-weather grip. The fiberglass scabbard construction avoids water absorption and reduces carrying weight, while several lanyard holes and the included ParaCord provide carrying and backpack attachment options.

Hanwei Tactical Wakizashi Review

The Paul Chen / Hanwei Tactical Wakizashi was one of the first Tactical Waks available, but does the design hold up to the competition?

The CAS Iberia website says this of their Tactical Wakizashi:

The “Sidearm of the Samurai” gets a serious update in our Tactical Wak, designed for strenuous outdoor use and protection. Based on the blade geometry and superb cutting ability of the Paul Chen  Raptor series wakizashi but with full tang construction for ultimate strength, the Tactical Wak is equal to any required task and then some.
